What types does brush finish include?

About Brushed Stainless Steel

Brushed stainless steel, also known as satin stainless steel, is a finish applied to stainless steel that creates a distinctive, brushed appearance. It is achieved by using a wire brush or abrasive pad to create a pattern of fine lines on the surface of the stainless steel.

The brushing process removes any surface imperfections or blemishes and creates a uniform grain on the surface of the stainless steel. This process also helps to increase the durability and resistance of the stainless steel, making it ideal for use in a wide range of applications, including appliances, countertops, and kitchen equipment.

Brushed surface stainless steel has a muted, matte finish and is less reflective than polished stainless steel. It is often used in contemporary and modern design styles as it provides a sleek, minimalist appearance. The brushed finish can also help to hide fingerprints, scratches, and other signs of wear and tear, making it a popular choice for high-traffic areas.

After the stainless steel surface is processed by grinding with an abrasive belt machine back and forth, the surface state is a straight line without discontinuity, and the decorative effect of the elevator product is shown in Figure 2.

Processing Methods of Brushed Stainless Steel Sheet/Coils

The brushed stainless steel exported by our company usually adopts oil milling technology. After three times of oil milling, high-quality No 4 finish stainless steel can be formed. If HL stainless steel is needed, we need to oil-brushed mill again on the basis of No 4 finish stainless steel.

Brush Stainless Steel Machine

The processing method of polished stainless steel involves the use of abrasive material to create a brushed or satin finish on the surface of the stainless steel. Here are the basic steps involved in the process:

Preparation: Inspect the surface of the stainless steel coil for damage to remove any dirt, oil, or other contaminants from the surface. Start by placing cold-rolled or hot-rolled stainless steel coils on the holder. The machine is tuned up and ready to go.

Grinding: Grinding the stainless steel surface with an abrasive belt or wheel. We need to oil the surface during the grinding process. For better surface effect, we generally sand three times.

Check Brush Stainless Steel Surface

Check product quality: During the production process, we will strictly control the quality of the product, test the roughness of the product many times, and compare it with the customer’s sample.

Cleaning: After the product is oiled, the product goes through the cleaning room to wash away excess oil stains on the surface, which helps the surface of the product look brighter.

Film: According to the requirements of customers, we will paste the corresponding laser film, PE film, PVC film, etc.

The specific equipment and materials used in the brushing process may vary depending on the desired finish and the type of stainless steel being used. However, the basic steps outlined above are common to most polished stainless steel processing methods. Brushed stainless steel is commonly used in a variety of applications, including appliances, kitchen equipment, and architectural features.

Advantages of Brushed Stainless Steel Sheet

Exterior

There are many advantages of stainless steel brushed, for example, the surface texture of stainless steel brushed is delicate, beautiful, and elegant, and its surface roughness Ra value is smaller than that of the original plate (that is, 2B plate or NO.1 hot plate without surface processing), that is to say, The brushed stainless steel sheet has a smoother surface.

In addition, the stainless steel brush has a unique metallic texture, and the products processed by the wire drawing board give people a high-grade and exquisite feeling. There are 2B, NO.1, BA, and other states.

Application

For the sake of beauty, that is, out of the demand for appearance design. A certain surface texture can give stainless steel products a unique visual expression, enhance product appeal, and promote product sales.

The stainless steel plate is brushed on the surface, combined with mirror/high gloss, sandblasting, etching, color plating, and other processes to obtain rich appearance effects and apply to scenes such as daily necessities, instruments, equipment, machinery, elevators, and public places.
